SPECIFIC STEPS
If there is no light in the compartment, orient yourself to the doorway of the elevator, on the left or right side just above the knee height you will feel a circular pull that will open the telephone compartment door. Open the door; hold down the rectangular button on the side panel. You do not need to dial, the phone will automatically dial a Control Center. A red light will come on within thirty seconds. Press the button to talk and release the button to listen. They will ask you which elevator you are in. The number of the elevator is located on the inside of the telephone compartment door.
Explain that you are trapped in an elevator at Overlook III and need assistance. If you are frightened or ill, ask the person on the other end to stay on the line with you.
